Trump Declares ‘Excellent Health’ After Urgent Checkup Today

UPDATE: US President Donald Trump is in “excellent overall health,” according to his physician, following a crucial medical checkup today at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This assessment comes as Trump, aged 79, undergoes his second health evaluation of the year, sparking significant public interest.
Earlier today, Trump returned to the White House and confidently gave reporters a thumbs-up, indicating a positive outcome from the appointment. Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor, confirmed in a letter released by the White House that the President’s cardiac age is “approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age,” measured through an ECG.
During this comprehensive medical assessment, Trump received both an updated Covid booster shot and his annual flu shot. This checkup is particularly noteworthy given that it follows Trump’s recent diagnosis of a chronic vein condition, which had raised concerns after reports of frequent bruising and swelling in his legs and hands.
“President Trump continues to demonstrate excellent overall health,” Barbabella stated, noting that Trump maintains a demanding daily schedule without restrictions. The physician’s remarks are a reassuring message amid ongoing scrutiny regarding the President’s health.
Three months ago, the White House disclosed that Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a benign condition linked to the bruising on his hand. Trump has consistently addressed rumors and speculation regarding his health, even claiming he has faced significant misinformation on social media.
“I’m in great shape, but I’ll let you know. Physically, I feel very good. Mentally, I feel very good,”
Trump remarked on Thursday during an Oval Office meeting with reporters, reaffirming his vigor ahead of the checkup.
During this latest health evaluation, Trump also referenced having passed a cognitive exam, which he described as “risky” due to public scrutiny. He contrasted his health assessments with those of former presidents, asserting he performed well while casting doubt on the cognitive capabilities of his predecessor, Joe Biden.
Despite the positive health report, Trump has faced accusations of lacking transparency regarding his well-being. The public remains highly interested in the health of the Commander-in-Chief, especially given the significant implications for national leadership. Trump’s doctor previously indicated that Trump has a “normal cardiac structure and function,” with no signs of heart failure or systemic illness, further alleviating concerns.
The President’s health remains a focal point as he continues his political engagements and prepares for future public appearances. As developments unfold, all eyes will be on Trump’s health and its impact on his leadership, especially in the run-up to the next election cycle.
What happens next? The White House is expected to provide further updates on Trump’s health as public interest continues to grow. Stay tuned for the latest developments.
