UPDATE: Urgent repairs are currently underway as Uisce Éireann tackles multiple burst water mains in Donegal. Residents in Letterkenny, Killybegs, and Buncrana are facing significant disruptions to their water supply due to these critical infrastructure issues.
As of now, repair efforts in Letterkenny, particularly in the areas of Glenleary and Bomany, are expected to conclude by 5 PM today. Meanwhile, residents in Killybegs near Fintra and those in Buncrana around Trillick and St Johns Park should see their service restored by 2 PM today.
Authorities are urging residents to prepare for brief interruptions in their water service. “Our teams are working diligently to restore normal supply as quickly as possible,” an official from Uisce Éireann stated.
