URGENT UPDATE: A man has been shot in a violent incident that unfolded in County Limerick this evening, prompting a major investigation by local authorities. The Gardaí confirmed that emergency services were alerted to the scene in the townland of Kilcoole, near Rathkeale, shortly after 6:30 PM on August 21.
Witnesses reported a vehicle being rammed and an altercation that led to the shooting. The victim, a man in his 40s, has been transferred to University Hospital Limerick with a gunshot wound to the hip. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
