Mulchrone was left in a critical condition and was immediately transported to Mayo University Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on August 19. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and their two children, Keith and Amy, who are currently mourning the loss of a beloved husband and father.

In a heartfelt statement, the Mulchrone family expressed gratitude for the community’s support during this devastating time. “The Mulchrone family would like to thank you for your cooperation and consideration at this difficult time,” they said.

Tributes have flooded in for Mulchrone, with one family friend stating, “There are no words to express my condolences to you, Margaret, and your beautiful children at this heartbreaking time on the loss of your amazing husband and Dad Mick. May your memories of happier times give you some comfort. May Mick’s kind and gentle soul rest in peace.”
