Urgent Update: Remains of Missing Boy Daniel Aruebose Found

UPDATE: In a shocking development, the remains of missing three-year-old Daniel Aruebose have been discovered in Donabate, north Dublin, following a tip-off from his mother. Gardaí are not anticipating any immediate arrests as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding his tragic death.
Authorities confirmed the discovery of human skeletal remains on Wednesday morning, October 25, 2023, in an area identified by Daniel’s mother, who has been cooperating with the investigation since it began on August 29, 2025. This case has raised serious concerns about potential foul play, as it is believed that Daniel may have been buried secretly by his parents after reportedly dying of natural causes nearly four years ago.
For the first time, Gardaí released a photograph of young Daniel, taken when he was just two and a half years old, in hopes that locals in the vicinity of the Gallery Apartments might recognize him and provide crucial information. This image is one of the few that exist of the child, whose disappearance went unnoticed until recently when Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, flagged concerns regarding his welfare.
As of now, Gardaí emphasize that they have found no evidence of foul play. Any potential arrests would likely pertain to minor offenses related to the disposal of remains. However, the investigation is ongoing, with a full postmortem examination pending.
The harrowing details surrounding Daniel’s death reveal a disturbing narrative. His mother has claimed that she and her former partner “panicked” and buried him in a field after discovering he had passed away. This shocking admission came after Gardaí visited her apartment, where she ultimately led them to the burial site.
Gardaí are now conducting house-to-house inquiries around the Gallery Apartments to gather more information about Daniel’s last days. A comprehensive investigation is underway, involving officers from multiple Garda units, including the Garda National Technical Bureau and the Garda Dog Unit, alongside external experts such as forensic anthropologists.
The investigation began when concerns were raised by Tusla regarding a child benefit application. Following this alert, Gardaí sealed off the mother’s apartment and initiated a search that led to the discovery of Daniel’s remains shortly thereafter.
In an official statement, a Garda spokesperson said, “An Garda Síochána are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances of the disappearance of Daniel Aruebose.” They have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in clarifying the timeline and events leading up to Daniel’s tragic death.
Authorities are also in contact with Daniel’s father, who currently resides in Brazil. While he has cooperated with the investigation and confirmed his partner’s account of events, officials are seeking further dialogue to gain clarity.
As the investigation unfolds, Gardaí urge anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, to reach out. They stress the importance of community involvement in shedding light on this heartbreaking case.
This development is a significant turning point in a case that has captured the attention of the community and social services alike. As authorities continue to piece together the puzzle of Daniel Aruebose’s life and death, public support and information could prove vital in seeking justice for this tragic loss.

This case remains under close scrutiny as the investigation progresses, and further updates are expected in the coming days. Stay tuned for the latest developments in this urgent and heartbreaking story.
