Urgent: Woman in Her 80s Dies in Crash Near Glenties

UPDATE: A tragic road traffic accident has claimed the life of a woman in her 80s near Cill Riáin, Co. Dhún na nGall, just after 3:50 PM today, October 29, 2025. The single-vehicle collision occurred on the R262 at Tullynaglaggin and has left the community in shock.

Authorities confirm that the elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has since been removed as investigations continue. In a related incident, a man, also in his 80s, was transported to Letterkenny University Hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
