UPDATE: World Rugby has just announced an exciting ticketing plan for the much-anticipated 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia, offering over 2.5 million tickets to fans, with prices starting as low as $40 AUD (approximately €22.55). This historic tournament marks a return to Australia for the first time since 2003, igniting excitement among rugby enthusiasts worldwide.

The commitment to accessibility comes as part of World Rugby’s pledge to make this the most inclusive World Cup yet. A staggering one million tickets will be available for less than $100 AUD (around €56), ensuring that fans from all walks of life can join in the festivities. Tickets for pool stage matches will start at just $40 AUD, while matches featuring the Wallabies will be available for $65 AUD (about €36.65).

For fans eager to secure their seats, registration opens at rugbyworldcup.com/2027. Following the Rugby World Cup draw in December 2025, ticket sales will kick off with a closed presale in February 2026 for those who have registered. A general application phase will follow in May 2026, allowing supporters from around the globe to enter a ballot for oversubscribed price categories, ensuring a fair chance for everyone.

The Superfan Pass, priced at $750 AUD, will also be available, granting fans the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets for any match, including the opening and final games. This pass goes on sale on August 5, 2025.

With 794 days remaining until the tournament’s kickoff at Optus Stadium in Perth, Irish fans are already gearing up for what could be a pivotal moment in rugby history. The Irish team, having faced heartbreak in past tournaments, will be looking to break their quarterfinal barrier, especially after a strong showing in the recent France 2023 World Cup.

As the rugby world prepares for this monumental event, the excitement is palpable. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and prepare for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of rugby. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this thrilling experience!
