Atlantis Dubai Promotes Dean Walsh to Executive Director of Sales

Atlantis Dubai has appointed Dean Walsh as the new Executive Director of Sales, a significant promotion reflecting his contributions to the resort since joining in August 2023. In this role, Walsh will spearhead the growth of the global leisure market for both Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal.
Since taking on the position of Director of Sales, Walsh has been instrumental in enhancing Atlantis Dubai’s presence in key markets, including the UK, Europe, and Australasia. His strategic initiatives have aligned the sales team’s efforts with the brand’s commercial objectives, resulting in substantial annual revenues and an increase in market share within vital leisure segments.
Leadership Focus and Strategic Growth
In his enhanced role, Walsh will oversee the overall direction and execution of Atlantis Dubai’s leisure sales strategy across all markets. He will manage a team of Directors and Managers responsible for both domestic and international leisure segments, ensuring that all sales efforts are aligned with revenue targets and brand positioning.
Reporting directly to Kyp Charalambous, Vice President of Sales, Walsh will focus on enhancing the guest experience that has established Atlantis Dubai as one of the globe’s most iconic luxury destinations. “Dean’s proven track record, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to excellence make him the ideal leader to guide our sales team through its next chapter of growth,” Charalambous stated.
“His expertise in the global leisure landscape will be pivotal in driving new opportunities, deepening relationships in key markets, and attracting guests to the extraordinary experiences offered at Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal,”
Charalambous added.
A Wealth of Experience in Luxury Hospitality
Walsh brings nearly two decades of experience in hospitality and tourism to his new role. He has held senior sales and marketing positions with some of the world’s most prestigious luxury hotel brands, including InterContinental, One&Only Resorts, Viceroy, W Hotels, and Jumeirah. His extensive background equips him with the skills necessary to enhance the brand’s market reach and optimize sales performance.
With Walsh at the helm of leisure sales, Atlantis Dubai is poised to continue its growth trajectory, attracting visitors to its luxury offerings and solidifying its status as a leader in the global hospitality industry.
