Dalata Hotel Group Achieves €40,000 Fundraising Milestone
Dalata Hotel Group successfully raised over €40,000 in September 2023 during its annual fundraising initiative, known as Dalata Difference Makers Month. This campaign supports three key charity partners: The Marie Keating Foundation, Leukaemia Care, and Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. The funds generated from this initiative contribute to Dalata’s broader aim of raising €1 million by 2028, with a specific goal of €380,000 set for 2025.
The Difference Makers Month engaged employees across 56 hotels and the central office, resulting in more than 200 charity events nationwide. Highlighting the spirit of teamwork, the campaign featured significant events such as The Great Dalata Cycle, where six participants cycled a remarkable 500 km from London to Amsterdam. Additionally, Dalata introduced a new fundraising concept this year, called The Great Dalata Charity Run, encouraging employees to participate in registered races in pursuit of a collective goal of 3,000 km. Many took part in popular events like the Dublin and London Half Marathons.
In reflecting on the campaign’s success, Dermot Crowley, CEO of Dalata, expressed pride in the dedication exhibited by the teams across all locations. He stated, “Our teams across all hotels and central office have once again shown extraordinary generosity and commitment. Dalata’s Difference Makers reflect the very best of our team. We are incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved and excited to see how the next phase of our community journey unfolds.”
The funds raised through the Difference Makers initiative significantly benefit Dalata’s charity partners across Ireland, Great Britain, and Northern Ireland. Each of these organizations plays a vital role in providing essential services and support to those in need, highlighting the importance of community engagement in corporate culture.
As Dalata Hotel Group continues its commitment to social responsibility, this successful fundraising effort marks another step in its ongoing journey to make a positive impact within the communities it serves. The company looks forward to further initiatives that not only foster teamwork among employees but also enhance the lives of individuals and families supported by its charity partners.
