Etihad and Revolut Team Up to Boost Global Loyalty Rewards

Etihad Airways has announced a new partnership with Revolut aimed at enhancing its loyalty programme, Etihad Guest. This collaboration enables millions of Revolut customers globally to convert their RevPoints into Etihad Guest Miles through the Revolut mobile app, providing an accessible way to earn and redeem rewards.
Members of the Etihad Guest programme can transfer RevPoints at a one-for-one ratio with no minimum transfer requirement. This feature allows customers to easily boost their Etihad Guest Miles balance, unlocking a variety of benefits. These include flight bookings to over 100 destinations, upgrades, hotel stays, and numerous items available in the Etihad Guest Reward Shop.
Enhancing Travel Opportunities
With the addition of 27 new destinations in 2023, including Phnom Penh, Sumatra, and Hong Kong, Etihad continues to expand its global network. The partnership with Revolut allows members to leverage their everyday spending, making travel more accessible.
Mark Potter, Managing Director of Etihad Guest, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re excited to offer new and existing members even more opportunity to earn Etihad Guest Miles internationally. This collaboration will make it easier for Revolut’s customer base to explore the world and maximize their rewards.”
The aim is to enhance the overall travel experience for customers while making it simpler to enjoy the perks of loyalty membership.
RevPoints and Travel Benefits
Revolut has seen a significant interest in airline miles since launching RevPoints last year. According to Christopher Guttridge, General Manager (Loyalty) at Revolut, “Airline Miles have been the most popular way for our customers to redeem their points.” The partnership with Etihad Guest not only increases flight options but also reinforces Revolut’s travel product offerings, which include eSIM, lounges, and various experiences.
This partnership represents a strategic move for both Etihad and Revolut, combining the strengths of an established airline with a leading neobank. The collaboration is designed to inspire customers to explore new destinations while fueling a passion for travel.
As the travel industry continues to rebound, partnerships like this are vital in providing value and enhancing customer engagement. The integration of loyalty rewards into everyday spending offers a promising avenue for both companies to grow their customer base and enrich the travel experience for millions.
