FBD Hotels & Resorts Unveils Sustainable Spa Brand ‘Fréamh’
FBD Hotels & Resorts has launched a new sustainable spa brand named fréamh, exclusively available in its hotel spas starting from mid-November. The new collection, which embodies the essence of Irish heritage, will be featured at four locations: Castleknock Hotel Dublin, The Heritage Laois, Faithlegg Waterford, and Killashee Kildare.
The brand’s ambassador, Rachael Blackmore, reflects the spirit of this unique offering, which draws its name from the Irish word for “root.” The term symbolizes grounding, balance, and a connection to the natural rhythms of Ireland. The fréamh collection comprises ten ritual treatments and fourteen retail products, all designed to promote calmness and renewal. These offerings are inspired by four elemental themes: earth, sea, air, and shoreline.
FBD Hotels & Resorts emphasizes that fréamh represents more than just a spa brand; it is a wellness journey deeply rooted in nature. The company has partnered with a 100% Irish-owned wellness creator, who boasts over three decades of experience in the spa industry. This collaboration aims to honor the natural elements that define Ireland, showcasing the strength of the earth, the fluidity of the shoreline, the breath of the wind, and the tranquility of the sea.
Commitment to Sustainability
“Rooted in Nature,” fréamh encapsulates a commitment to sustainability at every stage of its product creation. The brand focuses on using ingredients that are 100% cruelty-free, with an average of 50% sourced from organically certified components. Additionally, the spa products are packaged using low-impact materials, and the company prioritizes community sourcing and local transportation methods, employing 100% electric vehicles for business-to-business deliveries.
FBD Hotels & Resorts stated that caring for oneself is intrinsically linked to caring for the environment. By threading lightly and protecting the resources they cherish, the brand aims to create a sustainable future for generations to come.
Fréamh will be officially available at the spas across the FBD Hotels & Resorts portfolio in mid-November, offering guests an exclusive opportunity to experience wellness treatments that reflect the beauty and authenticity of Ireland. The combination of rich tradition and modern sustainability practices positions fréamh as a distinctive player in the wellness industry, creating a unique offering that resonates with both local and international guests.
