The BIG 10 Travel Event, organized by Magic Vacations, attracted an impressive crowd last weekend, with over 1,250 guests attending the event held at Acton’s Hotel Kinsale in Co. Cork. This turnout surpassed last year’s attendance, marking a significant milestone for the travel fair. The event showcased a wide array of travel options, with a particular emphasis on cruises, which received enthusiastic interest from attendees.
A notable highlight of the day was the presence of esteemed trade partners, including Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, and Marella Cruises, who exhibited exclusive offers tailored for attendees. John Barrett, Managing Director of Magic Vacations, expressed his satisfaction with the event, noting, “We were delighted to have all our trade partners under one roof in Cork with exclusive show offers.” He highlighted that ocean and river cruises were particularly well-received, with departures from Cork and Shannon being among the best-selling options.
As international travel continues to rebound, the demand for holidays to the United States for 2026 also emerged as a significant trend during the event. The Universal Orlando Cruise & Stay packages topped the wish list for many attendees, indicating a strong interest in combined travel experiences that offer both adventure and relaxation.
Looking ahead, Barrett acknowledged the critical support received from partners such as Air France and Cork Airport, stating, “Thanks to the great support from our invited partners, this event has been our most successful yet.” He encouraged guests to stay tuned for what Magic Vacations has planned for 2026, hinting at exciting new opportunities for travelers.
The success of the BIG 10 Travel Event underscores the resilience of the travel industry and the growing appetite for travel experiences as consumers look to explore new destinations. As travel restrictions continue to ease, events like this play a crucial role in reconnecting industry partners with potential travelers, fostering relationships that empower both sectors.
Magic Vacations’ commitment to enhancing travel opportunities was clearly reflected in the turnout and engagement seen throughout the event, setting a positive tone for future endeavors in the travel sector.
