Travel Counsellors Ireland Sets Onboarding Dates Amid Career Shift

Travel Counsellors Ireland has announced new onboarding dates for prospective business owners, responding to a rising demand for flexible career options. The upcoming sessions are scheduled for October 1, November 4, and December 2, 2025. These programs will combine online learning with in-person training at the company’s headquarters in Mahon, Cork.
The first session on October 1 will be part of the Academy training pathway, specifically designed for individuals without prior travel industry experience. Participants will gain essential skills, support, and access to advanced technology, enabling them to become independent travel entrepreneurs from their first day. The subsequent onboarding dates cater to current professionals in the travel sector, including travel agents and tour operators, who wish to expand their businesses without the overhead costs typically associated with running a travel agency.
Eleanor Roche, a former chartered accountant who joined Travel Counsellors through the Academy program in September 2019, shared her transformative experience. She stated, “Joining through the Academy programme was life-changing for me. I swapped a career in chartered accountancy to follow my passion for travel. I wanted more control over my career and my time, and Travel Counsellors gave me the training, tools and ongoing support I needed to make that transition with confidence. Now, I get to combine flexibility with building a successful business I can be proud of.”
Travel Counsellors Ireland has established itself as a leader in premium leisure and corporate travel since its launch in Ireland in 2005. The company now boasts over 85 independent business owners across the country and is part of a global network of nearly 2,500 Travel Counsellors operating in six countries. The business model emphasizes personalized service, leveraging the resources of a well-known global brand.
Cathy Burke, Managing Director of Travel Counsellors Ireland, commented on the timing of the onboarding sessions. “Autumn is often a time when people stop and reflect. With children back to school and routines re-established, many start thinking about their future and whether their career is giving them the flexibility, fulfilment, and financial reward they want.” She emphasized that the company offers aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to be their own boss while benefiting from comprehensive training, technology, and ongoing support.
The advantages of joining Travel Counsellors include the ability to manage one’s own business, select working hours, and maintain a balance between family commitments and career success. Participants can also expect uncapped earnings, with income directly tied to individual effort and growth. Additionally, they will receive full access to Travel Counsellors’ global support network, marketing resources, and award-winning technology.
The upcoming onboarding dates represent the last chance in 2025 for new recruits to join ahead of the busy January booking season. For more information on how to start a career with Travel Counsellors, visit people.travelcounsellors.com/ie.
