Local Charities Urged to Enter €40,000 Munster National Sweepstake

URGENT UPDATE: Local charities are now invited to enter a life-changing sweepstake that could reward them with up to €40,000. This initiative is part of the upcoming Boyle Sports JT McNamara Munster National at Limerick Racecourse, scheduled for October 18-19, 2025.
The McManus family of Martinstown, long-time supporters of community initiatives, are partnering with the National and Limerick Racecourse to host this sweepstake aimed at benefiting charities in the Mid West region. Each participating charity will have the chance to be matched with a horse in the National, with the winning nominator receiving a generous €20,000 prize.
In addition to the main prize, Limerick Racecourse will provide 1,500 general admission tickets to the shortlisted charities, allowing them to sell these tickets for additional funds. Last year, Down Syndrome Limerick was the winning charity, demonstrating the significant impact this initiative can have on local organizations.
JP McManus expressed enthusiasm for the sweepstake, stating,
“I am delighted that we have this opportunity through the sweepstake to support the many charities and community organizations who do so much in our community.”
Racecourse CEO Michael Lynch added,
“We are delighted to be continuing our associations with both the sponsor and the McManus family… It is an important part of our growing racing business and one we are keen to continuously develop and improve.”
This two-day National Hunt Meeting will feature the exciting €100,000 Munster National and promises to be a highlight of the racing calendar.
Charities wishing to participate should apply now via limerickraces.ie to ensure they do not miss this incredible opportunity. The excitement is building, and the community is urged to rally behind this initiative that supports vital local causes.
