Dunnes Stores Launches Stylish Cardigan for €30, Perfect for All Seasons

Fashion enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement as Dunnes Stores has introduced a new addition to its winter collection: the Gallery Matilda Contrast Fluffy Cardigan. This versatile piece, designed to complement any wardrobe, is now available in stores across Ireland and online at dunnesstores.com.
The cardigan features a round neckline adorned with sparkly buttons and two convenient front pockets. Its black and white color scheme allows for easy pairing with various outfits. According to Dunnes Stores, the cardigan is crafted from a “luxuriously fluffy yarn,” ensuring warmth and comfort throughout the colder months. The retailer remarked, “Made from a luxuriously fluffy yarn, this cardigan is designed in a comfortable regular fit with a flattering v-neckline.” Priced at just €30, this cardigan is expected to be a staple in wardrobes for years to come. It is available in sizes ranging from XS to XL.
Dunnes Stores has styled the cardigan with wide-leg black jeans, priced at €25. These high-waisted jeans, available in both black and denim, feature a straight cut and classic five-pocket detailing, making them a versatile foundational piece. The retailer noted, “The high waist sits comfortably to create a flattering shape, making them a handy foundational piece that works with a range of tops and layers.” Sizes for the jeans range from 8 to 10.
In addition to the cardigan and jeans, Dunnes Stores is also generating excitement with a new handbag offering. The Nylon Slouch Crossbody Bag, retailing for only €20, closely resembles a well-known designer bag but is available at a significantly lower price. Shoppers can choose between black and light pink options. The bag features a shoulder strap, drawstrings, and two carrying handles, along with multiple pockets for added convenience.
Company History and Growth
Founded in 1944 in Cork, Dunnes Stores quickly became a favorite among shoppers for its quality clothing at competitive prices. The first store, located on Patrick Street, sparked a shopping frenzy, drawing crowds eager to take advantage of Ben Dunne’s “Better Value” offerings. The excitement was so palpable that police had to be called in to manage the throngs of eager customers.
Over the decades, Dunnes Stores expanded its offerings, introducing groceries in 1960, starting with basic fruits. The retailer emphasized that “fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.” Today, the company continues to source a wide range of foods from local and international suppliers.
Dunnes Stores opened its first store in Dublin in 1957 and has since grown to 142 locations, employing approximately 15,000 people across the UK and Ireland. The retailer has expanded its footprint beyond Ireland, venturing into Spain, Scotland, and England in recent decades.
As the new cardigan and accompanying items hit the shelves, it is clear that Dunnes Stores is committed to maintaining its reputation for quality and value in the fashion retail market.
