Traitors Ireland Shifts Dynamics as Patrick Hughes is Banished

Players on *Traitors Ireland* faced a dramatic turn of events as they eliminated **Patrick Hughes**, marking the end of a three-week winning streak for the “Faithful” team. The former casino manager was voted off during the latest episode of the popular RTE One show, with contestants suspecting him of being a traitor. Additionally, **Mark White**, an IT analyst, was also sent home in a shocking twist that left viewers on the edge of their seats.
Reflecting on his experience after the elimination, Hughes expressed both disappointment and pride. “What a blast. One thing nobody can take away is the fact that I was part of the crew that went three in a row. Unfortunately, your streak is broken. I am a Faithful,” he stated. The show’s host, **Siobhan McSweeny**, echoed his sentiments, remarking on the disappointing turn of events for the team.
Just a day earlier, Hughes had successfully saved himself from banishment when civil servant **Andrew Moloney** received the most votes at the round table. Moloney, who was ultimately relieved to leave the competition, spoke candidly about the pressure of the game. “Your cards are marked. To be honest, when you’re kind of walking around the castle, you’re getting the sense, right? Everyone’s kind of looking at you differently,” he explained during an interview on RTE Radio One.
Despite the disappointment of being voted out, Moloney shared exciting personal news during his exit. He revealed that he and his wife are expecting their first child, a surprise that he learned just a week before filming began. “I found out actually a week before I went into the castle that we’re expecting. I’m going to become Daddy!” he declared, embracing the joy of impending fatherhood.
In a surprising twist, viewers also witnessed **Paudie Moloney**, Andrew’s father, finally recruit **Nick O’Loughlin** to the “traitor” side. O’Loughlin, who appeared eager to leverage his new role, stated, “It’s honestly come at the perfect time. I’ve cleared my name. I have a clean slate to start spinning people, turning people but using it to my advantage.” He humorously dubbed himself a “traitor slayer,” indicating a newfound determination to outmaneuver the “Faithful.”
As tensions rise within *Traitors Ireland*, the dynamics of the game continue to shift, keeping fans engaged and eager for what lies ahead in this gripping series. Each week brings new strategies and alliances, ensuring that the intrigue remains high among players and viewers alike. The journey through Slane Castle promises more surprises as contestants navigate their roles in this high-stakes game of deception and trust.
