ICAD Awards Celebrate Irish Creativity with Eight Gold Bells
The annual ICAD Awards, held on March 15, 2024, at Dublin’s National Stadium, recognized outstanding creative work in advertising, design, and production. Over 400 attendees gathered to celebrate the event, which has been promoting creative excellence in Ireland for more than 67 years. This year, the awards showcased exceptional talent, distributing a total of eight gold, 27 silver, and 45 bronze bells.
Among the esteemed winners, TBWA\Ireland emerged as the top performer, securing eight awards. Publicis Dublin closely followed with seven awards, alongside Unthink, which also took home seven bells. Other notable winners included Forsman & Bodenfors and BBH Dublin, each receiving five awards, while Droga5 Dublin garnered four.
An emotional highlight of the evening was the presentation of the President’s Award by ICAD President Sarah Chadwick to honor the late Sinéad Kavanagh for her contributions to the creative community. Chadwick expressed the significance of the awards, stating, “The ICAD awards aren’t just my favorite night of the year; they are a celebration of the industry and a meeting of the best minds in our business.”
The evening also recognized excellence in client partnerships, with Tesco receiving the Best Client Award in Advertising. In the realm of design, Omos was honored for its contributions. The Greenhorn Award, celebrating emerging talents, was presented to Paddy Dunne in Advertising. Student winners included Ailbhe Conboy for Advertising, Craig McShane for Production, and Laoise FitzGerald for Design.
The event was made possible through the support of industry volunteers and sponsors, including Screen Ireland, Penny, Horizon Accounting, and GABHA Studios. ICAD, a non-profit, membership-led organization, remains dedicated to fostering and rewarding creativity in Ireland.
