The announcement was made on September 29, 2023, during a ceremony at Croke Park, where Dara Calleary, the Minister for Rural and Community Development, presented the award to local representatives.

The SuperValu TidyTowns Competition, which has been celebrating Ireland’s commitment to beautification and community spirit since 1991, saw an unprecedented 929 towns enter this year, with over 30,000 volunteers participating nationwide.
