HMG Paints Launches New Water-Based Production Centre Now
BREAKING NEWS: HMG Paints has just unveiled the new Len Hutton Centre, a state-of-the-art facility in Manchester dedicated to boosting water-based production capabilities. This significant investment aligns with the company’s 95th anniversary and is poised to increase production capacity by an impressive 50,000 litres per month.
The opening of this modern department marks a pivotal shift in HMG’s operations, allowing the manufacturer to meet the rising demand for environmentally friendly, low-VOC coatings. As consumers and industries increasingly seek sustainable options, this new centre will play a critical role in HMG’s future.
The Len Hutton Centre, named in honour of former Production Director Len Hutton, is staffed by six highly trained professionals and boasts twelve high-efficiency mixers along with a dedicated washout facility. This reflects HMG Paints’ commitment to innovation and sustainable practices while also celebrating its family-first approach.
Len Hutton, who began his career at HMG in March 1974 and retired in 2021, expressed his gratitude at the unveiling. “It’s a huge honour to have a department named after myself. I consider it a great privilege to know that my department will be the future of waterborne production for the company,” he stated. His legacy is firmly woven into the fabric of HMG’s history, having transformed the Colour Laboratory and established the foundation for the company’s colour matching and production processes.
At the ceremony, HMG Chairman John Falder praised Hutton’s contributions, saying, “Len became the foundation of our colour laboratory, tints, and all the systems that followed. Thanks to Len and others, we are where we are today.”
The establishment of the Len Hutton Centre underscores HMG Paints’ dedication to advancing its product offerings in line with market demands. As industries shift towards more sustainable practices, HMG’s proactive approach places it at the forefront of innovation in the paint manufacturing sector.
Looking ahead, the Len Hutton Centre is set to become a hub for developing cutting-edge water-based coatings that cater to a variety of markets. This strategic move not only amplifies HMG’s production capabilities but also reinforces its reputation as a leader in environmentally responsible manufacturing.
Stay tuned for further updates as HMG Paints continues to innovate and lead the way in sustainable paint solutions.
