“Ketamine Queen Pleads Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Fatal Overdose”

UPDATE: The woman known as the “Ketamine Queen,” Jasveen Sangha, has just pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the death of Friends star Matthew Perry. This shocking development comes amid ongoing legal proceedings, highlighting the deepening tragedy surrounding Perry’s untimely death on October 28, 2023.
Sangha entered her plea today in US District Court in Los Angeles, admitting guilt to five federal charges, including the distribution of ketamine that ultimately resulted in Perry’s death. She is the final defendant among five charged in this high-profile case to plead guilty, intensifying the urgency of the ongoing investigation into this devastating incident.
Seated in the courtroom were Perry’s mother, Suzanne Perry, and stepfather, Keith Morrison, who attended for the first time since the indictments were revealed a year ago. Their presence underscores the emotional weight of this case as they seek justice for their son.
Dressed in tan jail garb, Sangha stood alongside her attorney, Mark Geragos, as she repeatedly affirmed her guilty pleas before Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett. The court proceedings revealed a chilling exchange, where Sangha hesitated when asked if she was aware that the ketamine she supplied to co-defendant Erik Fleming was destined for Perry. “There was no way I could tell 100%,” she stated, raising concerns about the extent of her knowledge regarding the fatal drug’s distribution.
Sangha, 42, a dual citizen of the US and the UK, was portrayed by prosecutors as a prolific drug dealer, earning the moniker “Ketamine Queen” in official documents and press releases. Today’s plea was part of a deal struck on August 18, in which three other charges were dropped against her. She faces a maximum sentence of up to 65 years in prison, though prosecutors have indicated they will recommend a lesser sentence.
The plea comes after a comprehensive investigation that led to the charges against Sangha and her co-defendants, including Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who pleaded guilty in July. Other defendants have cooperated with authorities, providing testimony that implicated Sangha and Plasencia in the drug distribution network.
Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home by his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, with the medical examiner ruling ketamine as the primary cause of death. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with drug abuse and the devastating impact on families and communities.
As this case progresses, the court will schedule Sangha’s sentencing, and all eyes will be on the proceedings to see how justice will be served in light of Matthew Perry’s tragic passing. The implications of this case extend beyond the courtroom, resonating with fans and the entertainment industry grappling with the loss of a beloved star.
Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story as legal repercussions unfold in the wake of Perry’s death.
