Kilkenny Intermediate League: Thrilling Match Week Two Results

UPDATE: The Kilkenny Intermediate and Junior Hurling Leagues delivered a thrilling round of matches last weekend, with significant updates impacting teams across the county.
In an exciting showdown, James Stephens (The Village) secured their second consecutive victory, overpowering Tullogher Rosbercon with a decisive score of 1-20 to 0-15. This win propels them to second place in Group A, closely trailing Dunnamaggin, who also triumphed against St Martin’s with a final score of 1-24 to 2-12. Dunnamaggin capitalized on a strong second-half performance, demonstrating their dominance after a competitive first half.
Meanwhile, Mooncoin showcased their strength with a resounding victory over Blacks and Whites, claiming a significant win of 2-23 to 0-17. Goals from Killian Hogan and Robbie Doherty in each half proved crucial for Mooncoin as they cruised to victory.
In Group B, St Lachtains made a remarkable comeback, recovering from a slow start to snatch their first win of the season against Young Irelands, finishing with a score of 2-18 to 3-13. Despite an initial struggle, St Lachtains rallied to turn the game around, with key contributions from Liam Hickey and Cian Dawson.
Additionally, Danesfort achieved a narrow victory over Fenians with a score of 2-17 to 1-17. The standout performance from Brian McDonald, who netted two goals in the first half, established a solid foundation for Danesfort’s win.
The excitement kicked off on Friday night as Rower Inistioge triumphed in a nail-biting match against Carrickshock, with Eoghan Lyng leading the charge and sealing the win with a final score of 1-17 to 1-15.
