Police Patrols Intensify in Strabane Following Youth Disturbance
UPDATE: Police in Strabane are ramping up patrols after a shocking disturbance involving a group of approximately 30 young people on the evening of October 27, 2025. Authorities confirmed that the incident, which began shortly before 6 PM, saw youths running into traffic and throwing bricks at vehicles, causing significant disruption and damage.
Witnesses reported chaos in the vicinity of Bradley Way, where a vehicle sustained damage, and a police patrol car had its windscreen smashed amidst the turmoil. The group also gained entry to a vacant building and accessed a business yard on Park Road, intensifying concerns about public safety and property damage.
Police have issued an urgent appeal for those involved in this anti-social behavior to reconsider their actions. “We urge parents to discuss the dangers associated with such reckless conduct with their children,” said a police spokesperson.
