Electric Picnic tickets officially go on sale today, just days after the festival’s sold-out event in 2025. The annual festival, held in Co Laois, will take place next year from August 28 to August 30, 2024. Ticket prices remain consistent with this year’s rates, ranging from €235 to €315 for weekend camping passes.

Festival promoter Melvin Benn expressed confidence that tickets will sell out quickly, stating in a press conference that he anticipates a high demand. “I expect tickets will get snapped up fairly quickly,” Benn remarked. He also confirmed that headline performers have been secured for two of the three nights, promising a thrilling lineup for attendees.

In a bid to enhance the festival experience, Benn announced plans to offer additional entertainment for those arriving early on Thursday, August 27. “I’ll certainly put more into the Thursday evening’s entertainment next year. There will be one or two more stages open on Thursday evening for definite,” he shared, indicating a commitment to improving the festival atmosphere.

A pre-sale event earlier this week saw tickets “sold out in a flash,” highlighting the intense interest in the festival. Today at 09:00, both loyalty and general tickets will be available, with Benn mentioning the possibility of a secondary sale closer to Christmas.

Despite expanding attendance to 80,000 this year, Benn confirmed that the capacity will not increase further in 2024, even though he acknowledged that “the appetite is definitely there” among fans. This year’s festival featured popular performances from acts such as Kneecap and a debut by Chappell Roan, as well as a cancelled surprise set by Fatboy Slim due to overwhelming crowd anticipation.

As excitement builds for next year’s event, festival-goers are encouraged to act quickly when tickets become available, given the record demand witnessed in recent days. The Electric Picnic promises to deliver another memorable experience in 2024, with enhanced entertainment options and a lineup that aims to captivate audiences once again.
