Tirlan Charity Cycle Raises €85,000 for Local Causes

More than 90 employees and farmers from Tirlan participated in the 12th annual Tour de Tirlan charity cycle on September 5, 2023. This flagship event has raised over €476,000 for various local and national charities since its inception. This year’s goal is to raise an additional €85,000 to support three designated charities, contributing to the ongoing commitment of Tirlan to benefit the community.

Cyclists began their journey from the Tirlan Collaboration Centre located in Abbey Quarter, Kilkenny. Participants had the flexibility to choose from four distinct route options, including 185 km, 140 km, 100 km, and a more accessible 45 km eBike-friendly ride. This diverse range of distances ensured inclusivity, allowing cyclists of all experience levels to take part in the event.

The Tour de Tirlan not only promotes fitness and camaraderie among participants but also emphasizes the importance of community engagement. Local groups are set to benefit from the funds raised, which highlights the event’s commitment to supporting those in need within the region.
