Aer Lingus Moves Manchester Flights to Terminal 2 for Enhanced Travel Experience

Aer Lingus has officially relocated all of its flights between Manchester and the island of Ireland to Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, effective from September 16, 2025. This move encompasses all Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional flights, which are operated by Emerald Airlines. The transition aims to provide passengers with a more modern and streamlined travel experience.

This change is part of Manchester Airport’s ambitious £1.3 billion transformation programme, which consolidates all Aer Lingus operations, including its transatlantic services, under one roof at Terminal 2. The terminal is now set to enhance the customer experience for those traveling to Dublin and Belfast City Airport, as well as for passengers on three transatlantic routes to New York JFK, Orlando, and Barbados.

Enhanced Facilities and Seamless Connections

Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport is designed to improve the overall travel experience for Aer Lingus customers. Enhanced features include convenient self-service kiosks for quicker check-in, free Wi-Fi, and charging stations, ensuring that travelers remain connected throughout their journey. Additionally, the terminal offers a broad array of shops, restaurants, ATMs, and currency exchange services, all contributing to a more enjoyable airport experience.

The new terminal arrangement also simplifies connections for passengers traveling from Manchester and the North of England through Dublin to Aer Lingus’ extensive transatlantic network. This network includes popular destinations such as Cancun, Nashville, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Denver. Furthermore, customers flying to the United States can utilize US customs preclearance at Dublin Airport, making their arrival in the US more convenient.
