Urgent Weather Warnings for Cork and Kerry: Heavy Rain and Winds Ahead!
URGENT UPDATE: Met Éireann has just issued Status Yellow weather warnings for four counties as heavy rain and strong winds are set to hit starting tomorrow morning, October 30, 2025. Residents of Cork and Kerry should prepare for severe weather conditions from 11 AM to 8 PM, with significant rainfall expected to lead to localised flooding.
The national forecaster warns that the weekend will bring continued wet conditions, with additional rainfall warnings in effect across Ireland. Cork and Kerry are likely to experience the most intense weather as heavy rain poses the risk of difficult driving conditions and poor visibility.
In addition to the rainfall, a Status Yellow wind warning will also be in effect for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, and Wexford from 11 AM to 11 PM on Thursday. The forecast predicts very strong, gusty winds, potentially reaching gale force along coastal areas.
Authorities emphasize the need for caution on the roads, as fallen trees and wave overtopping may create hazardous conditions.
“Extra care is needed in all areas of travel,”
a spokesperson from Met Éireann warned.
As the storm approaches, residents are urged to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions. This developing situation will be monitored closely, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Stay safe and prepare for the incoming weather!
