Funeral Arrangements Set for Clodagh Ferguson, 28, Found Dead
																								
												
												
											UPDATE: Funeral arrangements have been officially announced for Clodagh Ferguson, a 28-year-old mother whose life was tragically cut short. Ferguson was found dead following a medical emergency at the Clayton Hotel in Limerick City on July 16, 2025. Authorities confirm that her body was discovered by emergency services after they responded to a call around 10:20 PM.
This sudden loss has left the community in mourning, with friends and family expressing their shock and sorrow. Described as “a beautiful young mother gone too soon,” tributes have poured in across social media, highlighting Ferguson’s caring nature and infectious smile.
Local police, Gardaí, stated that they do not suspect foul play in her death, which has added to the community’s heartache. A post-mortem examination was conducted, but details regarding the cause of death remain private.
In an emotional online notice, Ferguson’s family shared, “With broken hearts, we announce the unexpected death of our beloved Clodagh.” The family has requested privacy during this difficult time, emphasizing that the family home is “strictly private.”
Visitation for Ferguson will take place at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on July 21 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Her funeral mass is scheduled for 1:00 PM at St John’s Cathedral, followed by cremation at Shannon Crematorium. The family has requested that instead of flowers, donations can be made to Adapt House.
Social media has been flooded with heartfelt messages from mourners. One friend shared, “Fly high and free. Condolences to her family; give them strength at this sad time.” Another wrote, “Rest in peace, gorgeous girl. Thinking of your little boy and family during this heartbreaking time.”
Clodagh Ferguson leaves behind her son, Dylan, and his father, Dominic, along with her mother Sonia, sisters Allida and Abi, and grandparents Ann, Tom O’Halloran, and Chris Ferguson.
