Additional Tickets Released for Kilkenny Concert on October 25
Tickets for the highly anticipated Castle Park Concert featuring ‘SPRINGSTEEN – A TRIBUTE’ will go back on sale on Friday, October 3, 2023, at 10:00 AM. This release is due to overwhelming demand, with a limited number of additional tickets available through the official website, www.savourkilkenny.com. The concert is set to take place on Saturday, October 25, as part of the Savour the Night initiative, aimed at enhancing Kilkenny’s night-time economy.
This open-air concert will be hosted against the picturesque backdrop of Kilkenny Castle, promising an exciting evening filled with music from one of Ireland’s leading tribute bands. Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere as the event celebrates Kilkenny’s designation as the ‘Home of Halloween’. A costume competition will be held, encouraging ticket holders to dress in festive attire for a chance to win fantastic prizes.
Community Support Through Music
The Castle Park Concert is not only a cultural event but also serves a philanthropic purpose. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Cois Nore, Kilkenny’s cancer support service, which is currently fundraising €2 million for a new facility on Waterford Road.
Bill Cuddihy, Chairperson of Cois Nore, expressed the importance of community involvement, stating, “We believe that goodwill is woven into the fabric of Kilkenny. It’s the neighbour who brings dinner. It’s the friend who drives someone to chemotherapy. It’s everyone who sees themselves in the journey, even if they’ve never walked it.” This initiative highlights the local community’s commitment to supporting one another, particularly in times of need.
As a reminder, once these additional tickets sell out, no further releases will be made, so interested attendees are encouraged to act quickly to secure their place at this vibrant event.
