Paudie Moloney Joins Al Porter’s Christmas Pantomime in Dublin
Paudie Moloney, known for his role as a traitor on the popular RTÉ show The Traitors Ireland, has secured a prominent new position in the festive theatre scene. The retired prison officer, who has gained fame through his appearance on the show, will star as the Wizard of Oz in Al Porter’s upcoming Christmas pantomime, Olly Goes to Oz.
The production is set to be staged at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin from December 19, 2025, until January 4, 2026. This collaboration between comedian Al Porter and Fair City actor Ryan Andrews promises to deliver a lively and entertaining experience for audiences.
Porter shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a cheerful image of Moloney alongside a caption that read: “Is he faithful… or a traitor? Paudie from The Traitors is joining the 3Olympia Panto as The Wizard of Oz! Catch him on the big screen in Olly Goes to Oz this Christmas – it’s going to be wickedly funny!”
Fans have expressed their enthusiasm for Moloney’s participation in the pantomime, flooding the comments with praise and excitement. Radio host Laura Fox remarked, “Take my money!!!!!!” while another follower noted, “Whoever thought of this needs a raise.” The enthusiastic responses reflect the anticipation surrounding the show and Moloney’s new role.
The cast for Olly Goes to Oz features an impressive lineup, including Andrews, Porter, Maclean Burke from Fair City, James Patrice from RTÉ, singer Rob Vickers, influencer Erin McGregor, Michaela O’Neill, Zoe Talbot, and Alison Dennan.
Tickets for the pantomime are currently available for purchase through Ticketmaster, with prices starting at €25.40, which includes the booking fee and a €1.50 restoration levy. As the festive season approaches, the excitement for this theatrical production continues to build, promising a memorable experience for all who attend.
