Traitors Ireland Faces Dramatic Banishment Before Finale

The latest episode of The Traitors Ireland delivered shocking twists as the show approaches its finale. In a dramatic turn, contestant Joanna was banished after a tense roundtable, leaving fellow players in tears. The episode aired ahead of the final week, marking a pivotal moment in the competition.
During the roundtable discussion, tensions escalated as several contestants accused Joanna of being untrustworthy. This followed her performance in a mission that took place at a historic site on Slane Hill. Here, players were tasked with extinguishing the torch of the contestant they trusted the least while blindfolded. Joanna, who had all three of her flames put out, demonstrated her skills by correctly guessing two of the three players responsible, adding €2,000 to the group’s prize fund.
Joanna’s decision-making came under scrutiny when she was offered a choice between a consolation prize of a dagger, which allows the holder two votes in the next roundtable, or a shield that protects against a potential murder. Joanna opted to keep the dagger and gifted the shield to fellow Faithful, Kelley. This choice, however, did not save her as the group turned against her during the subsequent roundtable.
The accusations culminated in an emotional exchange, with Kelley, who had previously received the shield from Joanna, expressing regret over her decision. “I’m sorry but you’ve lost it for me… I feel like it’s kinda like an I’m sorry – you will be getting my vote but thank you for the shield. I live another day,” Kelley said, highlighting the intense personal dynamics at play.
The fallout from Joanna’s banishment left Vanessa and Kelley visibly upset. After the roundtable, Kelley reflected on her feelings, stating, “To Joanna, I want to say I’m sorry. I hate thinking she’s left the game with a sour taste in her mouth.” The emotional weight of the game was palpable as alliances shifted and trust eroded.
Following Joanna’s departure, Traitors Nick and his new ally Ben appeared to be in a strong position, having escaped the roundtable without any suspicion directed towards them. Nick remarked to Ben that the game was “ours to lose,” indicating their potential dominance as the finale approaches.
As the competition nears its conclusion, viewers are left wondering whether the Traitors will succeed in their scheme or if the Faithfuls will reclaim the prize pot. The Traitors Ireland will continue to air on RTE One and the RTE Player on September 21, 2023, at 21:30, with the final episode scheduled for September 23, 2023, at 21:35. The outcome remains uncertain, but the emotional stakes have never been higher.
