Vintage Cars Rev Up for Charity in County Limerick Village

The Athea Vintage Club is set to host its annual Road Run this Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Athea, County Limerick. This year’s event aims to support two significant causes: Ronan’s Road to Recovery and the Jack & Jill Foundation.
Registration for the event will begin at 11:00 AM, with a fee of €20 per vehicle. Participants are encouraged to bring their vintage cars and vintage or modern tractors to join in this celebration of automotive history. The atmosphere will be lively, with music provided by DJ Excel starting at 11:30 AM, ensuring a festive ambiance for all attendees.
The festivities will officially kick off with the Kids Junior Run at 12:15 PM, which is set to be a highlight for families. Families from West Limerick and surrounding areas are invited to come and enjoy a day filled with nostalgia as they view an array of vintage cars from bygone eras.
This event not only showcases classic vehicles but also serves a greater purpose. Proceeds from the registration fees will benefit the two charities, making it a day of fun and philanthropy. The Jack & Jill Foundation provides vital support to families of children with severe neurological conditions, while Ronan’s Road to Recovery focuses on assisting individuals in navigating their recovery journeys.
As the community gears up for this event, it promises to be a heartwarming gathering that honors the past while supporting meaningful causes. For those interested in participating, the assembly point will be in the Church car park, where a charming blend of history, community spirit, and charity will converge.
