Gardai Seize 3D Printed Gun, Drugs in Urgent Ballymun Arrest
URGENT UPDATE: In a significant crackdown on drug-related crime, Gardai have arrested a man in his 40s and seized a 3D printed firearm along with a quantity of controlled substances during a raid in Ballymun on October 22.
At approximately 8 PM, officers from the Ballymun Drugs Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the area, marking a critical step in ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of illegal drugs.
During the operation, authorities recovered approximately €300 worth of suspected diamorphine and €1,680 in suspected Zopiclone tablets, both pending further analysis. The seizure underscores the serious nature of drug distribution activities in the community.
The arrested individual is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) North. A Garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations are still active, suggesting more developments could follow soon.
