Urgent: Tree Planting Clinics Launch in Kilkenny This Friday
UPDATE: Starting this Friday, November 7, residents of Kilkenny and surrounding areas have a unique opportunity to engage in tree planting initiatives. Local woodland owner group Irish Wood Producers is launching a series of monthly clinics designed to promote tree planting and forest management.
These clinics will take place on the first Friday of every month, beginning this week from 11 AM to 1 PM at the New Ross Scout Hall located on Marsh Lane, New Ross, Co. Wexford. This initiative is not just about planting trees; it’s also a chance to learn about available grant supports under the Forestry Programme and to explore various forest management options.
The urgency of this initiative cannot be overstated. With climate change and biodiversity loss becoming pressing global concerns, local efforts to plant trees are vital. The support from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine underscores the importance of this program and the commitment to enhancing Ireland’s green cover.
Participants can expect to receive valuable insights into the best practices for tree planting and forest maintenance. Whether you’re a seasoned landowner or a beginner interested in environmental stewardship, this clinic will provide essential information and resources.
Don’t miss out on this chance to contribute to a greener future. Mark your calendars for this Friday, and be part of a growing movement that aims to restore and enhance local woodlands. Share this information with your friends and family; together, we can make a difference!
Stay tuned for future updates on these clinics and other related initiatives.
