Treaty City Brewery Hosts Limerick Christmas Fair on December 20-21
Treaty City Brewery is set to host its largest outdoor Christmas fair in Limerick, inviting local vendors to participate in this festive event. The fair will occur on December 20 and 21, 2023, along the historic Nicholas Street. With road closures transforming the area into a pedestrian-friendly market, this event aims to highlight the talents of local craftspeople, makers, and independent vendors.
The fair will take place from 14:00 to 21:00 on Saturday and 14:00 to 20:00 on Sunday. Treaty City Brewery owner Steve Cunneen expressed excitement about showcasing the best of Limerick. “We are going to have a market both days. We’re looking for small batch artisan producers based in the community to showcase the best of what Limerick has to offer. It’s a fantastic street, and so we’re gonna have a really good, fun time and some Xmas cheer!” he stated.
Local Talent and Festive Offerings
The fair will not only feature local vendors but will also spotlight musical talent from the northside of Limerick. A highlight of the event will be a performance by Hazey Haze on Saturday evening at 19:00, where he will debut his new album live on Nicholas Street. Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy outdoor live music, festive treats, and the brewery’s signature mulled Sarsfield Stout, along with Christmas toasties.
In collaboration with the fair, King John’s Castle will offer a 25% discount on family packages throughout December. Ruth Vaughan from King John’s Castle commented, “We’re delighted to support Steve with the Treaty Xmas Fair; we are in the most historic street in Limerick. King John’s Castle is the jewel in the crown. We’re Steve’s neighbour, so we’re delighted to collaborate and support Steve on this fantastic initiative!”
For vendors interested in participating, there is no cost for a stall, and they will retain 100% of their earnings for the entire weekend. Those wishing to apply can contact Treaty City Brewery via email at [email protected].
This Christmas fair presents a unique opportunity for the Limerick community to come together, celebrate local talent, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in one of the city’s most historic locations.
