Houston Texans Triumph Over Seattle Seahawks in Thrilling Match
The Houston Texans secured a hard-fought victory against the Seattle Seahawks, winning the Week 7 matchup 28-24 on October 22, 2025. The game, held at Lumen Field in Seattle, showcased the Texans’ resilience and strategy, solidifying their position in the competitive NFL landscape.
Both teams entered the game with high expectations, each vying for a crucial win to enhance their playoff prospects. The Texans, led by quarterback C.J. Stroud, displayed a dynamic offense that kept the Seahawks’ defense on its toes. Stroud completed 25 of 32 passes, amassing 305 yards and throwing two touchdown passes, while also contributing with a rushing touchdown.
Seattle struggled to maintain momentum throughout the game. Kenneth Gainwell was a standout for the Seahawks, rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown. Despite his efforts, the Seahawks could not overcome the Texans’ advantage in the first half, where they built a 21-10 lead.
The first quarter set the tone for the Texans, who scored two quick touchdowns. Stroud connected with wide receiver Nico Collins for an impressive 45-yard touchdown pass, igniting the Texans’ offense. The Seahawks responded with a field goal, but the Texans answered back with a rushing touchdown from Stroud, extending their lead.
In the second quarter, the Seahawks fought back, with Gainwell finding the end zone, but the Texans quickly retaliated. Stroud’s 30-yard pass to Tank Dell put the Texans firmly in control. The first half ended with the score at 21-10, leaving the Seahawks in a challenging position.
As the second half commenced, the Seahawks intensified their efforts. Quarterback Geno Smith orchestrated a series of drives, culminating in a touchdown pass to tight end Noah Fant. This brought the Seahawks within striking distance, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.
In the final quarter, the Seahawks managed to narrow the gap to just four points with another touchdown. However, the Texans’ defense held firm, preventing any further scoring. The game concluded with the Texans emerging victorious, thanks in part to their ability to control the clock and make critical defensive stops.
This victory is significant for the Texans as they aim to build momentum heading into the second half of the season. With a record of 5-2, they are positioning themselves as serious contenders in the AFC South. The Seahawks, now at 3-4, will need to regroup and address their inconsistencies as they look towards their next matchup.
The thrilling encounter at Lumen Field highlighted the competitive spirit of the NFL, showcasing both teams’ talent and determination. As the season progresses, fans can expect more exciting matchups as teams vie for playoff positioning.
