Finn Valley Physiotherapy Services Return to St Joseph’s Hospital
The Finn Valley Physiotherapy Department will resume its services at St Joseph’s Hospital in Stranorlar on November 17, 2023. This relocation follows a period of temporary arrangements necessitated by essential fire safety upgrade works at the hospital. Throughout this time, physiotherapy services were provided from alternative locations to ensure that residents in the Finn Valley catchment area continued to receive necessary care.
According to a statement from the Health Service Executive (HSE), the return of physiotherapy services to St Joseph’s Hospital underscores a commitment to enhancing local healthcare provision. The newly prepared facilities on the hospital campus aim to support the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services to the surrounding community.
Enhancements and Safety Measures
In discussing the move, Maura Gillen, Acting General Manager of the Primary Care Division, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming patients back. “We are delighted to welcome our patients back to St Joseph’s Hospital. The new physiotherapy facilities have been carefully prepared to provide a safe, comfortable, and modern environment, ensuring the highest quality care for those requiring physiotherapy services,” she stated.
The HSE has expressed gratitude to the public for their patience and understanding during the temporary relocation. The organization is eager to welcome service users back to St Joseph’s Hospital, where they can now access enhanced physiotherapy services.
