Urgent: Apply Now for Medical Degrees at Ulster University by Jan 14
UPDATE: Ulster University has confirmed that limited places are available for the 2026 intake of medical and paramedical degrees for applicants from the Republic of Ireland. However, the clock is ticking! The deadline to submit applications through UCAS is just around the corner on Wednesday, January 14.
This is a crucial moment for prospective students. If you are aiming for a spot in one of these competitive programs, you must act NOW. Applications received after January 14 will not be considered, unless there are remaining vacancies, and Ulster University will not respond to late applications for the listed programs.
New information from the Department for Health-Funded Programmes (DFH) details the selection process for students. Most programs now require candidates to take the MSAT Ulster test, except for Dietetics and Paramedic Science, which necessitate an interview. Registration for the MSAT Ulster is already open, but the deadline to sign up is looming on February 4.
Test dates are set for March 7, 8, 14, and 15, with options available at Ulster University’s campuses in Belfast and Derry. The outcome of this test will play a pivotal role in whether applicants receive offers, overshadowing traditional criteria like predicted grades or personal references.
Students who submit their applications by the January deadline will soon receive decisions on their choices. If you get all your decisions by March 31, your response deadline is May 6. If decisions arrive by May 16, the reply deadline extends to June 3, and for those receiving results by July 15, the cutoff is July 22.
It’s essential to note that if a student holds multiple offers, one must be selected as the “Firm” choice and another as “Insurance.” Failure to respond by the deadlines will lead to automatic declines of all offers through UCAS.
As results day approaches, students must be prepared to either accept their placement or explore alternative options via the UCAS Clearing facility.
This is a critical juncture for students looking to enter the healthcare field. Make sure to prioritize your application and secure your future in medical education at Ulster University. Share this urgent news with anyone who needs to know!
