Kilkenny County Council has granted planning permission for a new residential development, which will feature 22 detached homes on the outskirts of Kilkenny city. Developed by Raggett Homes (Glendine) Limited, the project will be located around Glendine House on Glendine Road.

The housing scheme will include three four-bedroom dwellings and 19 five-bedroom dwellings. All associated works necessary for the development will also be undertaken at the site. In addition, the plan incorporates approximately 2,763 square metres of public open space, enhancing the area for future residents and the community.

The proposed development will feature a new vehicular entrance off Glendine Road. This entrance will provide access not only to the new homes but also to Glendine House, ensuring convenient connectivity for all users.

The approval reflects an ongoing effort to address housing demand in the region, as local authorities strive to provide adequate residential options for residents. The construction of these homes is expected to contribute positively to the local community and economy.

As the project progresses, further updates regarding timelines and construction plans are anticipated, providing more clarity on the development’s impact on the area.
