Kilkenny Club Hurler Peter Walshe Celebrates Wedding in Waterford

The marriage of Tullaroan club hurler Peter Walshe and Rioghnach Nic Dhonncha took place on Friday, March 15, 2024, in a picturesque ceremony at the Church of St Nicholas in Ring, County Waterford. The couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends during a heartfelt Nuptial Mass, officiated by Fr Michael Enright.

The bridal party included Ailbhe Nic Dhonncha and Líadain Nic Dhonncha, both sisters of the bride, alongside Áine Butterly, a close friend of the bride. The groom’s brother, Chris Walshe, served as best man, supported by friends Ian Connellan and Shane Cuddihy as groomsmen.

Music for the ceremony was provided by a talented group including Pax Ó Faoláin, Cárthach Ó Faoláin, Macdara Ó Faoláin, Féilim Mac Donncha, Claire Lancaster, and Mac Dara Mac Donncha, enhancing the emotional atmosphere of the occasion.

Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a wedding reception at the Garyvoe Hotel in East Cork. Guests enjoyed an evening of festivities, which continued into the early hours of Saturday morning.

The newlyweds are currently honeymooning in the Caribbean, embarking on this new chapter of their lives together. Peter Walshe is the son of Dick and Berna Walshe from Tullaroan, while Rioghnach Nic Dhonncha is the daughter of Mac Dara Mac Donncha and Muireann Mhic Dhonncha, from Ring, County Waterford.

As they begin their married life, the couple is wished many years of happiness and love.
