Brooklyn Beckham Family Feud Escalates Over Instagram Drama
Tensions within the Beckham family have reached a new level as brother Cruz Beckham claimed that he and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, were “blocked” by Brooklyn Beckham on Instagram. This revelation comes after reports emerged indicating that the famous parents had unfollowed Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, on the social media platform.
Cruz, aged 20, took to Instagram to counter these claims, stating, “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.” This statement adds fuel to an ongoing family dispute that has seen significant media attention in recent months. Notably, Nicola Peltz also does not follow David and Victoria, which has further complicated matters.
Family Tensions and Missing Celebrations
The discord reportedly began around the time of Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding in 2022. Speculation suggests that disagreements over wedding planning contributed to the rift. Reports indicated that the Peltz family was displeased with the Beckhams for not financially contributing to the couple’s extravagant lifestyle in California.
In June, sources claimed that the Beckhams were described as “tight,” while the Peltz family was said to “throw money at anything and everything,” including the two homes in Los Angeles where Brooklyn and Nicola reside. Despite these claims, friends of the couple defended the financial support provided by Nicola’s billionaire parents. A source close to Brooklyn stated, “Nicola doesn’t deny she’s had a fortunate life, and she’s grateful for it. But she’s also been working for over 20 years, and now writes, directs, and produces her own projects.”
The situation escalated when Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from David’s 50th birthday celebration in May. Reports suggest they chose to boycott the event upon learning that Brooklyn’s former girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, would be in attendance. Sources informed TMZ that Brooklyn and Nicola were told they could attend the main celebrations or miss out on seeing family altogether, which left them feeling disheartened.
Social Media and Public Displays of Support
Cruz Beckham’s use of social media to express his loyalty to his parents has drawn attention. He shared lyrics from The Beatles’ song “The End,” suggesting that “the truth will unfold.” Followers quickly interpreted this as a reference to the ongoing family tension.
Meanwhile, Kim Turnbull, dating Brooklyn’s brother Romeo Beckham, recently shared glimpses of their romantic getaway in France, further highlighting the family dynamics. Speaking in an interview with The Sunday Times Style Magazine, Kim discussed the pressures of being in the public eye, noting, “It’s definitely tough when people are saying things about you that aren’t necessarily true.”
Although some speculate that Brooklyn’s recent purchase of a new property in Los Angeles signifies a desire to distance himself from his family’s London base, an insider dismissed this notion. They stated, “This house has nothing to do with family dynamics. David and Victoria also own property in the US; this is no different.”
Brooklyn’s upbringing in Los Angeles, where he spent part of his childhood while David played for LA Galaxy, has forged a strong connection to the city. The insider emphasized that both Brooklyn and Nicola’s careers are grounded in Los Angeles, further justifying their decision to establish roots there.
As the Beckham family saga unfolds, the world watches closely, intrigued by the interplay of celebrity, family loyalty, and social media dynamics.
