BPerfect Launches New Mega Makeup Store in Cork’s Wilton Centre

BPerfect, the rapidly growing beauty brand, is set to open its second location in Cork with a new megastore at the Wilton Shopping Centre. This exciting development follows the success of the brand’s first store on Oliver Plunkett Street, which garnered significant attention upon its opening in 2023. The grand opening is scheduled for July 29, 2024, and promises a day filled with celebrations, including entertainment and giveaways as part of the brand’s Skin Fusion Summer Tour.
The brand announced the launch event on its Instagram, stating, “NEW Megastore Alert! Join us this Tuesday the 29th of July in @wiltonshoppingcentre to celebrate! We have our Skin Fusion Summer Tour with HUGE giveaways, FREE shade matches, Entertainment & soooo much more! Tag your shopping bestie below & we’ll see you there!” This invitation has already generated excitement among beauty enthusiasts in the area.
Founded in Belfast in 2012 by Brendan McDowell, BPerfect gained significant recognition after appearing on the investment television programme, Dragons’ Den, in 2017. Since that pivotal moment, the award-winning brand has expanded rapidly, with its products now available in thousands of stores worldwide. BPerfect has developed a cult following, particularly for its viral products and collaborations with well-known beauty influencers, including Stacey Marie and Annalivia Hynds.
The new standalone store in Wilton will be a welcomed addition for beauty lovers in Cork. BPerfect is celebrated globally for its extensive range of makeup and skincare products, reinforcing the shopping centre’s appeal as a beauty destination. The store’s opening aligns with a broader trend of increasing interest in cosmetics and wellness products in the retail market.
In related news, the Boots store located in the same shopping centre is currently listed for lease. Despite this development, the pharmacy brand has reassured customers that it is not planning to vacate the shopping centre anytime soon. The three-unit shop, one of the largest in the mall alongside anchor tenants Penneys and Tesco, is undergoing strategic changes. Boots aims to relocate within the centre to create a larger, more luxurious shopping experience, reflecting recent renovations and the evolving preferences of its customers.
Last year, Boots unveiled its first ‘destination store’ in Cork city, revitalizing its flagship location on Half Moon Street after a substantial renovation. That project, which involved a multi-million euro investment, was highlighted by Boots as a transformative step for the Irish beauty market.
As BPerfect prepares to celebrate its new megastore, the retail landscape in Cork continues to evolve, with brands adapting to meet the growing demand for beauty and wellness products. The opening event at Wilton Shopping Centre is expected to attract significant foot traffic, further establishing the location as a key player in the beauty retail sector.
