Community Charity Ceili Celebrates World Down Syndrome Day
A charity ceili is set to take place in the Monagea Community Centre on March 21, 2024, in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day. The event, hosted by Down Syndrome Limerick, will run from 21:00 to 00:00 and will feature performances by local musicians Donie Nolan and Taylors Cross.
This marks the third consecutive year that the ceili has been organized in Monagea, and the local community is eager to participate in this festive gathering. Entry to the event is priced at €10, payable at the door, making it an accessible opportunity for families and supporters to come together for a worthy cause.
The event aims to raise funds to support the initiatives of Down Syndrome Limerick, which provides various social, educational, and developmental activities for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. The charity plays a crucial role in fostering inclusion and offering resources that enhance the quality of life for those they support.
As the ceili approaches, organizers express optimism for a successful evening filled with music, dance, and community spirit. Attendees can expect not only an enjoyable night but also the chance to contribute to a meaningful cause that directly benefits local families.
With the combination of lively entertainment and a sense of community, the charity ceili on March 21 promises to be a memorable occasion in County Limerick.
