Derry Parish Invites Community to Free Lenten Evenings of Prayer
The Three Patrons Parish in Derry is set to host two complimentary evenings of prayer, reflection, and sacred music this March, as part of its Faith in the Quiet Place programme. These events aim to provide a peaceful space for community members to engage in spiritual contemplation during the Lenten season.
The first evening will take place on March 5, 2024, followed by a second gathering on March 19, 2024. Both events will be held at the parish hall, starting at 7:00 PM. Participants can look forward to a blend of prayer sessions and musical performances designed to enhance their Lenten experience.
This initiative reflects the parish’s commitment to fostering a deeper connection among community members through shared faith practices. The evenings will feature local musicians and spiritual leaders who will guide attendees in a meditative atmosphere.
The Faith in the Quiet Place programme has been well-received in previous years, attracting individuals from various backgrounds seeking solace and reflection. The parish encourages everyone, regardless of their faith background, to join in these enriching evenings.
With the Lenten season being a time of penitence and spiritual growth, these events offer a unique opportunity for individuals to pause and reflect amidst their daily routines. The parish hopes to create a welcoming environment that inspires both personal and communal growth.
For those interested in attending, registration is not required, and all are welcome to participate. The parish invites community members to bring their friends and family to join in this meaningful experience.
