Two students from Kilkenny have been honoured for their remarkable achievements in the Leaving Certificate examination, receiving the prestigious UCD Entrance Scholars Awards. These awards are presented to students who achieve the highest points score from each school, with a minimum requirement of 500 points.

Dylan Walsh and Colin Bolger have both distinguished themselves academically. Walsh is currently pursuing a degree in Law and French, while Bolger has chosen to study Science. Their accomplishments reflect not only their hard work but also the educational standards within their institution.

The awards ceremony took place recently, where both students were congratulated by Professor Colin Scott, the Registrar and Deputy President of University College Dublin (UCD). Tom Clarke, Principal of CBC Kilkenny, also attended to commend the students on their significant achievements.

These awards highlight the dedication of students and the commitment of schools to foster academic excellence. The recognition of Walsh and Bolger serves as an inspiration to their peers and future students within the Kilkenny educational community.

As both students embark on their respective academic journeys, they join the ranks of other successful alumni who have benefited from a strong educational foundation. The UCD Entrance Scholars Awards not only celebrate individual success but also reinforce the importance of academic achievement in shaping future leaders.
