The search for 15-year-old Jackie Connors, who was reported missing from County Limerick, has been officially called off. Gardai confirmed that the teenager, last seen on February 9, 2024, has been located and is “safe and well.”

Jackie was reported missing from Ballinlough, Kilteely, after he was last seen around 17:00 local time on that day. Concern for his wellbeing prompted Gardai to issue an appeal to the public for information regarding his whereabouts. Described as approximately five foot four inches tall with dark wavy hair and blue eyes, Jackie also has a piercing in his left ear.

In a statement, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána expressed gratitude for the support received during the search. “An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance,” the spokesperson said. The swift resolution of this case highlights the effectiveness of community engagement in ensuring the safety of vulnerable individuals.

While the appeal has been concluded, Gardai continue to remind the public of the importance of vigilance and reporting any concerns regarding missing persons. This incident serves as a reminder of the collaborative efforts required between law enforcement and communities to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all individuals, particularly minors.
