Gardai Seek Public Assistance in Search for Missing Teen
Authorities in Ireland are concerned for the well-being of a missing teenage boy, Saul Mulvihill Cosgrove, who was reported missing from Portarlington, County Laois, on the evening of January 20, 2024. The 15-year-old was last seen earlier this week, prompting a public appeal for information regarding his whereabouts.
Details of the Missing Person
Saul is described as approximately six feet tall with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes. There is no available information on what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance. It is believed that he may have travelled to the Newbridge area of Kildare, raising concerns among family and friends.
An Garda Siochana has launched an investigation and is actively seeking assistance from the public. A spokesperson for the police force emphasized the importance of any information that could lead to finding Saul. They stated, “Anyone with any information on Saul’s whereabouts is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station at 057 867 4100, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any local Garda Station.”
Community Involvement
The community is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or relevant information that may assist in the search. Public involvement can play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of missing individuals, especially teenagers.
As the search continues, authorities remain hopeful that Saul will be located safely and returned to his family. The concern surrounding his disappearance highlights the importance of community support in such critical situations.
