Shelbourne Secures Long-Term Deal with Will Jarvis for 2024 Season

Shelbourne has confirmed a significant addition to their squad with the permanent signing of former loan player Will Jarvis. The 23-year-old forward has completed a long-term deal after moving from Notts County, following two successful loan spells at Tolka Park during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Jarvis, who previously played for Hull City, where he made 11 first-team appearances, expressed his enthusiasm for the move, calling it a “no-brainer.” His return is seen as a pivotal moment for Shelbourne as they aim to reclaim the League of Ireland Premier Division title, which they won in 2024 with Jarvis contributing significantly to their success.

In his last season with Shelbourne, Jarvis made 30 appearances and scored nine goals across all competitions. His goals included crucial finishes in derby matches against rivals such as Bohemians, St Patrick’s Athletic, and Shamrock Rovers. Reflecting on his return, Jarvis stated, “It all came about very quickly. Once I heard from Joey O’Brien and Lukey Byrne, it was a no-brainer for me. I loved my time at Shels, and I’m thrilled to be returning. It really does feel like coming home in a way.”

Jarvis played a total of 42 matches for Shelbourne during his two loan periods, and his return has been met with enthusiasm from both fans and management. O’Brien, the Reds’ head coach, emphasized the importance of Jarvis to the team’s future, saying, “Bringing Will back on a permanent deal is a huge boost for us. His record here speaks for itself.
