Entries Now Open for ‘Black and Amber 4 For Aidan’ Race!

URGENT UPDATE: Online entries are now officially open for the highly anticipated second annual ‘Black and Amber 4 For Aidan’ road race, set to take place in Letterkenny on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 10 AM. This event, honoring the late Aidan McGlynn, aims to bring the community together while supporting local athletic clubs.

The four-mile race and walk, organized by St Eunan’s GAA Club and Letterkenny Athletics Club, attracted an impressive 325 participants last year. McGlynn, a cherished member of both clubs, passed away in September 2024 at the age of 50. His legacy continues through this event, with proceeds benefiting the development fund of both clubs.

Participants will begin near Ballymacool Town Park, following a fast, flat, and chip-timed course that leads them past Conwal, turning at Tullygay, and finishing at the O’Donnell Park car park. The race headquarters will be located at the St Eunan’s GAA Social Centre.

The event encourages runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to join in this community celebration of Aidan’s passion for sports. The entry fee is just €10, making it an accessible opportunity for everyone to participate.
