Aer Lingus Launches Direct Flights to Cancun from Dublin
Aer Lingus has introduced its first direct flights from Dublin Airport to Cancun, enhancing travel options for Irish tourists. The new service, which commenced in March 2024, operates three times weekly, providing a convenient gateway to the stunning beaches and rich culture of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Shane Cullen, representing the Irish travel trade and media, recently experienced this new route during a familiarization trip hosted by Aer Lingus and Hilton at the luxurious Hilton Tulum.
Located along the beautiful coastline of the Yucatan Peninsula, the Hilton Tulum offers an idyllic escape for visitors. This five-star all-inclusive resort stretches along a private beach and boasts 735 rooms, including 59 suites, spread across twelve buildings. With approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes travel time from Cancun Airport, the hotel is in close proximity to attractions such as the Xel-Ha Amusement Park, just 6 kilometers away.
Luxury Accommodations and Dining
Guests at Hilton Tulum are greeted with a refreshing margarita cocktail upon arrival, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. The resort features vibrant decor, reflecting local culture through its furnishings and artwork. The atmosphere is enhanced by the friendly and engaging staff, who contribute to a welcoming environment.
The dining options at the resort are extensive, with 13 bars and restaurants available. This includes two buffet outlets and five specialty restaurants that offer a range of cuisines. Guests can indulge in authentic Mexican flavors at the Maxal Mexican Chop House, savor Italian dishes at La Luce, or enjoy Asian cuisine at Noriku. For those looking for lighter fare, Azulinda Café serves snacks and beverages around the clock.
The all-inclusive experience ensures that guests enjoy high-quality food and premium beverages, including expertly crafted cocktails. Beach movie nights, silent discos, and live music events add to the lively atmosphere, providing entertainment for all ages.
Family-Friendly Amenities and Activities
Hilton Tulum is particularly appealing for families, offering a well-equipped kids’ club for children aged 4-12. Activities include arts and crafts, gaming stations, and a water playground. Teens can enjoy their own lounge, equipped with video games and recreational activities, allowing them a space to relax and socialize.
For couples or groups of friends, the resort presents an enticing option for a winter or spring getaway. The new Aer Lingus flights make it easier than ever to visit this picturesque destination, with competitive pricing making it a feasible holiday choice.
Overall, the Hilton Tulum has earned its five-star rating, with excellent service and a vibrant atmosphere that resonates with Irish hospitality. Cullen’s experience highlights the appeal of this destination, making it an attractive option for those seeking a sunny retreat from Ireland.
