Virgin Voyages Invites Over 1,000 Travel Agents for Major UK Tour
Virgin Voyages is set to embark on its largest trade activation in the UK and Ireland this summer, welcoming over 1,000 travel agents, referred to as First Mates, aboard the cruise ship Valiant Lady. This initiative, titled the ‘Summer Tour 2026,’ will showcase the brand’s offerings during Valiant Lady’s Northern Europe season, departing from Portsmouth. The tour will comprise seven events across six ports, marking a significant milestone for Virgin Voyages as it represents the most extensive effort the company has made in a single trade initiative within the UK.
The UK and Irish ports included in this tour are as follows:
– Dublin – August 7
– Glasgow – August 8
– Liverpool – August 9
– Belfast – August 10
– Edinburgh – August 18
– Portsmouth – August 20 and August 27
At each port, First Mates will have the opportunity to board Valiant Lady for a comprehensive day visit. This experience will allow them to be among the first to explore the ship’s latest enhancements. The itinerary includes immersive ship tours, hands-on product demonstrations, and various events designed to highlight what differentiates Virgin Voyages from other cruise lines. Guests can anticipate hosted dining experiences, entertainment showcases, and several surprise elements, all emphasizing the line’s award-winning, adults-only cruising environment.
Matt Lebbern, Director of Sales for Europe and New Markets, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Valiant Lady’s visit to Dublin is a real milestone for us – the first time we’ve officially opened our doors to the Irish trade to showcase our product first-hand. It’s a fantastic opportunity to immerse our First Mates in the Virgin Voyages experience, highlight what makes the brand distinct, and strengthen our partnerships across Ireland.”
Details regarding each visit, including registration processes and other essential information, will be made available through The Bridge UK, the brand’s dedicated Facebook page for UK-based travel agents. Additional resources can also be accessed on firstmates.com, ensuring that participants have all the necessary information to make the most of this unique opportunity.
As Virgin Voyages gears up for this ambitious tour, the company aims to solidify its presence in the UK and Ireland, fostering closer relationships with travel agents and enhancing their understanding of its innovative cruise offerings.
